The artist's recurring interest in the tensions within the individual and between the individual and society has led her to look at the places where civility begins to break down. Impossible moral dilemnas, assumptions of decency threatened by violence - the "fragility of goodness" are the types of problems she keeps coming back to. Installations are a kind of laboratory where problems are thrown at individual characters to see how effectively they deal with them.
